Support Living Hyphen’s mission to amplify underrepresented voices across what we now know as Canada.
Since 2017, Living Hyphen has been working to amplify historically (and currently) underrepresented voices. We began our journey as a magazine that showcased the stories of artists and writers from over 30 different ethnic backgrounds, religions, and Indigenous nations. We’ve since expanded our mandate to including cultural programming, offering a whole host of writing workshops and storytelling events – both in person, virtually, and in partnership with public libraries, cultural institutions, and other organizations.
We hope to further developing our programming to include new forms of media to showcase our diverse voices. At the moment, we are a small tight-knit team of four and we are largely family-funded (mom-funded, to be exact!) but we’re hoping to make Living Hyphen more and more community-funded each day. You can help us get there by making a one-time contribution or support us monthly on Patreon!
We strive to make our initiatives financially sustainable while also maintaining artistic independence. We would be so grateful for your support.
LIVING HYPHEN IS POWERED BY A COMMUNITY COMMITTED TO AMPLIFYING OUR VOICES.
We are so grateful to these generous individuals who have contributed significant financial support for our work in reshaping the mainstream and turning up the volume on voices typically gone unheard.
