This casual writing circle is an invitation for storytellers from Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities to gather, reflect, and write from wherever we find ourselves – geographically, emotionally, and ancestrally.
Write Where You Are is for those of us who carry stories shaped by movement – across oceans, languages, generations, and borders. If you are exploring memory, heritage, longing, or the in-between, this is a gentle, creative space to show up with your pen and your presence.
Come as you are and bring a notebook and pen! We'll share some prompts to help guide your writing practice, but feel free to write what you feel and/or come with a project you are currently working on.
This is a time to dedicate to yourself while connecting with others through our words. No experience is necessary – only your curiosity and an openness to write where you are.
Date & Time: Saturday, August 15 | 3-5 p.m.
